First Draft of Teaching Philosophy 2012-2013

What I believe about teaching visual art is that it is a very vital part in general giving students to knowledge history tools and outlets express themselves gives one the ability to see and transform things into an array of usefulness. Furthermore I would argue that visual arts play a part and everything we do which is why it is so vital to have the edification in the arts.

In order for me to be an effective artist teacher I would need to remain working in my medium. That is to say that I'm always still relying on the growth of my work to affect my growth as a teacher to me it's like the old saying if you don't use it you lose it if I am not working and allowing the process to take embrace of me how can I truly give and show my students just how necessary the Arts are.

The evidence I would need to demonstrate my ability to teach would purely be the evidence of my student’s journey in my classroom. If my students leave my class having produce at least 1 piece that indulges their senses in ways that they did not know where possible that will be enough evidence for me
