The fact that narrative is number seven in this book of 100 ideas that changed art is surprising to me. I would have place narrative in slot two and or maybe one depending on your perspective about the development of language. Still be that as it may its closer to the front rather than the rear. Undoubtedly though narrative has a huge role in the arts not to mention the world we live in. The act of storytelling is intrinsic. Before we could write we told stories and drew!
Narratives have impact on humans, narrating is the art of sharing, enriching, diversifying, and the chance to interpret experiences. It is the pure magic of expression. Though the usage of storytelling comes bonding. The realization of narrative and the power it has allows ones art to reach its viewers, hold them close, educate them and leave them needing to express their own stories!
